Please be informed that starting from June 15 this year the road no. 3237 Laumalenka-Plokščiai (sections from 0 km to 4,699 km – to the Cold War Exposition) will be asphalt paving repair works.
When going to the Cold War Exposition, we recommend planning your trips taking into account possible traffic restrictions. We strongly recommend choosing an alternative route through the village of Paplatelė. Alternative routes and a section of repair work in progress are provided on the map.
The village of Paplatelė can be reached from Plateliai (the route marked in green) or by the road Plateliai – Alsėdžiai (purple).
IMPORTANT! Part of the alternative route (about 3 km) leads through a rather narrow forest road, this should be taken into account by all those who plan to visit the Exposition by tourist buses.
From Paplatelė village to the Cold War Exposition the road will be marked with information signs “Šaltojo karo muziejus”
ATTENTION TO CYCLISTS !
Cyclists planning bicycle trips around Plateliai Lake in the reconstructed section (red) should also be prepared for obstacles and inconveniences. Due to the planned works, certain short (up to 100 m) sections of the bicycle path will be dismantled, which will make travel more difficult.
