The viewing platform is on the North-Eastern part of the Plateliai town. From this place opens view of the Plateliai lake, Plokštinė forest and he Plateliai lake islands (Pilies (Castle), Veršiai (Calves)).
Viewing platform reconstructed using funds of Latvia – Lithuania Cooperation Programme 2014-2020, project “Unigreen” on 2017. It has been substantially refurbished and adapted to the needs of people with movement disability and visual impairment. Now there are benches, bicycle holders, ramps, 8 information stands, telling legends about the Lake Plateliai and its islands. There is also a tactile informational stand with Braille script. It is the only one example of this type information stand in Žemaitija National Park territory.This stand is designed for people with visual impairment, they by touching it get a general information about how the lake looks like.
