Botanical-zoological reserve

Žemaitija National Park has 1 botanical-zoological reserve – Ilgis botanical-zoological reserve.

Ilgis Botanical-Zoological Reserve was established to preserve the natural and biologically diverse ecosystem of Ilgis lake, lakeside and forest wetlands, forest and bogland habitats of European Community importance and their characteristic plant, mushroom and animal species, protected plant and animal communities. The area of ​​the reserve is 272 ha / 672 ac.
